Triplepoint Brewing Co – Mexicana: lime, orange and sea salt lager (4.6% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today John is looking at Triplepoint Brewing Co’s, Mexicana. This looks like a a beer that wears its intent on the can, but lets see what John makes of it.

Triplepoint Brewing – Mexicana

Name: Mexicana : lime, orange and sea salt lager

  1. Brewery: Triplepoint Brewing Co
  2. Aroma : This has a particularly strong lime flavour profile with a orange undertone.
  3. Appearance : This was a very pale golden colour with a really big frothy when head when poured.
  4. Body : This one has minimal head retention, but a high level of carbonation with a thin to medium body.
  5. Taste : This one tastes like what it says on the can really. It has lime background to it which is somewhat mouth watering then you get the salt hit to dry your pallet, Sam informed me that it has a similar hit to the aftermath of a tequila shot which he seemed quite fond of but I have to admit, its not really my thing, but I can see the appeal.

Whether you love that sharp, mouth-watering style or find it a bit too intense, this is a bold and refreshing beer that definitely doesn’t hide what it is

Our overall rating: 3.6 / 5.0
