Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are looking at a tipple from the lads over at the Meanwood Brewery, This came in a 5L mini Keg, but is available in small quantities as well. Although you do get this in a smaller quantity, you might want to pick up a few, as we found this one to be incredibly moorish!

- Name : ‘The Love you Make’ – East Coast Pale Ale
- Brewery: The Meanwood Brewery
- Aroma : a Zesty, Citrus, Orange scent with Hoppy undertones.
- Appearance : Cloudy, Manuka Honey coloured pint with a white head.
- Body : Medium biscuity malt body with a good head retention and left no film over the tounge.
- Taste : Very Clean, and Sharp with a hoppy tang and spiced fruit undertones, that linger ever so slightly at the back of the tounge. [Very Drinkable]
Notable Pairings / Accompanyments :
Given that we were generously donated 5L from the lads at Meanwood meant that we had alot more to play with and came up with a few pairings as we demolished the Keg over a Crisp Sunday afternoon. We found that due to the spiced fruity undertones that it went especially well with a Cotello Pineapple halo, or as an accompanyment to a workingman’s lunch (Ploughmans) as the citrus undertones undercut pickle and further elevated the cheese.
The Lads at The Meanwood Brewery pride themselve on their flavours and often like to think outside the box, you can find out a bit more about their process and why they do what they do in my interview with them here.
Now this one, in my opinion is firmly inside the box that is flavour town, and is a very good Modern Pale Ale, although its flavours are not completeley off the wall it certainly ticked the majority of our boxes, and would and should be on many a beer shelf particularly those of you of a Modern Pale persuasion.
Our overall rating: 4.1/ 5.0
