Pixie Juice – Wishbone Bewery (Abv 5.0%)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today we are looking at one of Wishbone Brewerys Pale Ales, Pixie Juice.

Wishbone Brewery was established in 2014, and is situated but a stone’s throw away from the well-established Timothy Taylors Brewery in Keighley. It’s owner, a true Yorkshireman, is a no nonsense bloke, and he strives to make no nonsense beer, lets have a look and see if he’s managed it.

  1. Name : Pixie Juice (5%)
  2. Brewery: Wishbone Brewery
  3. Description : Gluten Free Pale Ale, Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe
  4. Aroma : Tropical Citrusy aroma with a hint of Hops
  5. Appearance : Hazy Straw in colour, White head with large bubble structure.
  6. Body : Medium bodied, well carbonatesd with a good head retention
  7. Taste : A sharp Lemon Sherbert rush which is followed by a low citrus tang with hoppy undertones.

Well I must say this one took me by surprise on the flavour front, my first mouthful was such a punch if I was not sitting down already I might have had to. This was a very tastey pint, and definitley one I could session. It was very refreshing and I think it would be a choice reward for anyone, especially if you spent the day turning the backgarden over! It would equally work as a cooling beverage around the BBQ on a hot day.

This is one I will definitley be going out of my way to get a bit more of. Should you want to have a taste for yourself you can buy this on Wishbone Brewery’s online store

If you would like to learn a little more about the folks at Wishbone Brewery, you can check out my interview with them here

our overall rating: 4.4 / 5.0
