Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are looking at something a little different from the Wishbone Brewery.
As I am sure you know by now, Wishbone Brewery was established in 2014, and is situated but a stone’s throw away from the well-established Timothy Taylors Brewery in Keighley. It’s owner, a true Yorkshireman, is a no nonsense bloke, and he strives to make no nonsense beer. So far we have had a look at Pixie Juice, and Tiller Pin where both certainly packed a punch, we’re interested to see how they do on the larger front aswell.

- Name : Rubus Idaeus (4.5%)
- Brewery: Wishbone Brewery
- Description : Koln Style Larger with Raspberry
- Aroma : Sweet and fruity aroma with a slight hint of malt
- Appearance : Hazy to murky amber pink, with a very thin very pale pink to white head
- Body : Thin and light with a Moderate Fizz and poor head retention
- Taste : Sweet Icepop-esc flavour with heavy notes of raspberry and a tart finish.
Now this one is not in our usual wheelhouse, as non of us are larger drinkers by nature. However I wouldnt say it was a bad pint, it had a very nostalgic taste for me, as it reminded me of the ice-pops I would buy from the corner shop as a kid on the way home from school (which was quite along time ago now). I found that the beer itself was unusually light for a larger, and not too fizzy, the experience as a whole was pleseant and novel. But, this isnt one I would be able to drink alot of, its just a tad too much for myself.
But I imagine if you are a Larger drinker or a fan of fruity Ciders this would be a fantastic alternative to that.
Should you want to have a taste for yourself you can buy this on Wishbone Brewery’s online store
