Providence – Kirkstall Brewery (ABV 5.2%)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today we are looking at Kirkstall Brewerys, Providence.

The Kirkstall Brewery Co. Ltd. was originally registered in 1871, and by 1898 was producing around 72,000 barrels of beer a year, which were shipped out globally even then, the original brewery closed in 1983 and has since relocated but its produce has not dropped in quality and is one of the most provident breweries in the Leeds area.

  1. Name : Providence
  2. Brewery: Kirkstall Brewery
  3. Aroma : Mildly Fruity, with a hoppy undertone
  4. Appearance : Slightly Cloudy, Straw Yellow in colour with a thick white head
  5. Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated
  6. Taste : Punchy Zesty Flavour, Hoppy aftertaste that is emphazied through the carbonation giving it a lingering tang.

Now this is one of my go to pints, this and Kirkstall Brewery’s ‘Three Swords’ was the bevvy I had pretty much without fail every Friday after work, when I was still working in the office.

Honestly, I dont think you will find a more reliable, stable and tastey beer in the Leeds area. This for me is a must have especially if you are a fan of the oldschool style of brewing,

our overall rating: 3.9 / 5.0
