Verdita , Fruited Sour – Kirkstall Brewery (ABV 4.0% )

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today we are continuing a short peak into the catelogue at Kirkstall Brewery by getting our chops around their fruited sour, Verdita.

1. Name : Verdita, Fruited Sour
2. Brewery: Kirkstall Brewery
3. Aroma : Hops, citrus fruits with a hint of spice
4. Appearance : Straw coloured, clear with a white head
5. Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated
6. Taste : Sharp lemon & Pineapple notes that turn almost Marmalade on the tongue.

This is something that is normally out of my wheel-house but, I think I may have become a sour convert after this one, and will be looking to try some more of these in the future.

Now this one is not what I would call a session beer due to its richness, but It does has a loveley jammy-ness to it that really hits the spot! Definitley a pick-me-up style bevvie to give you that extra jolt/ buzz during your evening.
