Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Todays entry made me all misty eyed and reminisant about those times where we could sit in these magical buildings called pubs!
Today, we are looking at Kirkstall’s Three Swords.

- Name : Three Swords
- Brewery: Kirkstall Brewery
- Aroma : sweet smell of hops with a hint of fruit
- Appearance : Pale Gold, clear with a white head
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated
- Taste : Floral hints with a drawn out hoppyness and finishes with a sweet almost fruity tang
Now this one is somewhat special to me, in that I have drank it pretty much every Friday lunchtime for going on 3 years? So with the lockdown still in full swing ans the pubs being closed, my stomach thinks its throat has been cut. This was made most evident as even though this one came as a 5L keg, it still only took me a day to see it off!
This one is most certainly a session ale.
Three Swords is my number one go to beer, with Providence coming in as a close second. You will have to look very hard to find such a strong, stable and reliable pint.
Luckily for me as I live in leeds Three swords is very popular, and therefore common in the pub market here, so once the pubs eventually open again I should be able to get a pint very easily. But, for those of you further afield, if you are a fan of old school, no nonese beer and you do get the opportunity to have a try of this one, I dont think you will be disapointed.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the beers from Kirkstall Brewery you can find a link to their online store here. You can also check out my previous review of Kirkstall’s Providence, Verdita & their Pilsner to get a better sense for what they have on offer.
