Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are getting some fizz on our pallet with Ilkley Brewerys, Slake.
- Name : Slake
- Brewery: Ilkley Brewery
- Aroma : Hint of Hop, with cornflakes and the smallest hint of lime
- Appearance : Clear Gold, no head
- Body : Thin but loaded with fizz (heavily carbonated)
- Taste : clean, sweet, & hoppy with a malty cornflake like undertone.
Slake, certainly isnt a Slacker when it comes to flavour. Although I would sau that this one felt more like a Pilsner than a straight Lager due to its unusual initial hoppy-ness. It was refershing, and I found the malty quality to it very enjoyable, but as per usualy for me there was still a too much fizz for my taste.
This is a great alternative Lager for those who are looking to try something a little different. You can buy Ilkleys beers in Can, Bottle or Cask form on their online store.
