Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are looking at one of Ilkley Breweries top IPA’s Lotus. I have some high hopes for this one, as I had it on cask back in 2019 and it knocked my socks off.
- Name : Lotus
- Brewery: Ilkley Brewery
- Aroma : Hoppy with a zesty citrus notes
- Appearance : Clear reddish Amber, with a thin white head
- Body : Thin to Medium bodied, good carbonation but poor head retention
- Taste : Great mouthfeel, but not so punch on flavour, subtle floral notes, with a hint of citrus
Now this one I know is a duff bottle, because on Cask in the past it has knocked my socks off, the carbonation was low, and the flavours didnt quite come through, which is unfortunate, but as we all know it happens!
Non the less, I dont think this experience should deter you from giving it a go, especially if its on cask! You can buy Ilkleys beers in Can, Bottle or Cask form on their online store.
