Hi there fellow beer lovers,
We are back again taking a look at what Piglove Brewing Co has to offer, this time we are sitting down toget our face around their Session Ale, Omina

- Name : Omina
- Brewery: Piglove Brewing Co
- Aroma : Slight hint of wood, followed by a hit of Hops & Citrus
- Appearance : Cloudy Mango-y Orange colour with a open white head
- Body : Medium bodied well carbonated, but poor head retention
- Taste : Refreshing bitter sweet slightly herbal tang & citru, followed by a slight mellow hit of Malt
Definitley on their easy drinking list for a reason, it was nice and refreshing, light and flavourful. I couldnt quite place the what was giving me the bitter sweet kick, but after a little bit of reading it appears it was Palo Santo ‘Holy Wood’, which is a herb used in medicines in South America, whilst the flavour was somewhat unsual, it was by no means unplesant. Definitley one to try if you fancy a session ale with a twist.
If you would like to try this one for yourself you can do so by visiting Pigloves online store here or by visiting their tap room on the 14th -18th of April, (Address: Unit 6, Cross green lane, LS9 8LJ, Leeds) just make sure you book in via contact@piglovebrewing.com.
