Hi there fellow beer lovers,
We have tried their Sours and their Hoppy IPA’s but can they make a decent dark beer aswell? Lets find out what this Atypical Porter has on offer!

- Name : Calida Drift, Atypical Porter
- Brewery: Piglove Brewing Co & Jim’s Bottle Bar
- Aroma : Slightly smokey malt, with a hint of dark fruits
- Appearance : Dark with a very thin white film head
- Body : Light to medium bodied, low carbonation, poor head retention
- Taste : Deep note of dark fruits, which draw into a sour puckering taste, and finishes with a whisper of dark chocolate
Now this one was a beer of two halves, where it didnt deliver in what I would expect from a porter in terms of body, it certainly delivered in flavour, and my god was it tastey. So I feel somewhat divided about this one, I 100% would have this again, but I want to try it on tap to see if the body issue was something that was caused during the canning process, and I would have a can again to see if this was just a one off experience. But that being said its by far no where near the worst porter I have had in recent weeks, and if you are a fan of the dark stuff I dont think this will disappoint you.
If you would like to pick up your own Atypical Porter you can do so by visiting Pigloves online store here or by visiting their tap room from Today til the 18th of April, (Address: Unit 6, Cross green lane, LS9 8LJ, Leeds) just make sure you book in via contact@piglovebrewing.com.
