Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are giving in to our sweet tooth and are trying one of the Dessert in a can collection from Amundsen.

- Name : Dessert in a Can – Cherry & Chocolate Ganache
- Brewery: Amundsen
- Aroma : strong initial hit of sweet glacier cherry, with a hint of bitter chocolate
- Appearance : Dark in colour with a thick caramel foam head
- Body : medium bodied, low carbonation, with poor head retention.
- Taste : very sweet cherry bakewell like in taste, with a residual aftertaste of dark rich chocolate, with a brandy like finish.
Colour me slightly disappointed with this one, it was just all a little too much. If they dialed back the sweetness from an 11 to a 8 or 9 it would be far more enjoyable drinking experience for myself.
Unlike other tipples that I have had in a similar vein this one lacked a bite despite its 10.5%, although I admit that the brandy like aftertaste was a pleasent differnece, this fact didnt make up for the overall experience.
This isnt one I would be visiting again, but I am intersted to know if the other tipples on offer within the Amundsen Dessert in a can series are similar or better than this one.
our overall rating: 2.7 / 5.0
