Brewdog – Born to Die (ABV 8.5%)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Today we are looking at another of Brewdogs high abv tipples/ Born to Die. Andy after a few of these at 8.5% you might just do that!

1. Name : Born to Die
2. Brewery: Brewdog
3. Aroma : Sourdough like scent, with a hit of hops and a wheat
4. Appearance : Stikingly golden, clear ale with a tight white head
5. Body : Medium bodied, great head retention, almost a picture perfect pale ale.
6. Taste : Cutting clean taste of strong hops, with a mouthwatering bitter tangy finish

This one reminds me of the seaside, its punchy hoppy flavour akin to the strong salt air filling your lungs, or that of Mr Punch whacking the crocodile over the theft of his sausages. It advertises itself as Terminally Hoppy, and I believe they have hit the nail on the head with that brief description.

We had a play around with this one and we found it went exceptionally well with smoked meats, however like most Brewdog beers its on the pricey side. However with its limited quantity and percentage, you cant complain too much!
