Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are getting our claws into Staggeringly Goods, Dawn Stealer. As a lover of Dinosaurs, and crime novels, for the can alone I just had to pick this one up.
- Name : Dawn Stealer
- Brewery: Staggeringly Good
- Aroma : Dark sour cherries followed by a deep maltyness
- Appearance : Dark, with a thin white head
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated, poor head retention
- Taste : Strong licorice/ aniseed taste, I would say almost medisinal taste in nature, with a finish of pucker sourness.
I think I can see where they were going with this one, as there are some very popular medicinal tipples on the market, such as those sold at Piglove Brew Co. However, there was far to much licorice/aniseed taste in this one for me. If you are a fan of Grappa or Sambucca I think you could stomach this one better than myself. Overall its a miss, but not the worst drink ive had this year.
