Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Now those following the blog may have noticed that given the great Lockdown of 2020-2021 all of the beers I have been reviewing have been done from my home. But, ive actually managed to venture outside my abode of late, so there may be a few coming up where ive actually had beer out in the wild! This was one such occasion, and I must say it does make the beer taste ever so slightly sweeter!

- Name : Alnwick Stout
- Brewery: The Alnwick Brewery Co Ltd.
- Aroma : Deep almost smokey scent with malted notes
- Appearance : Dark Ruby Stout with a thin slightly off white head
- Body : Medium bodied well carbonated, medium head retention.
- Taste : Burnt dark roasted coffee with a hint of malt. Great smooth mouthfeel and very moorish.
We bought this one about half a mile from where it brewed at the Treehouse Restaurant in the grounds of the home of Harry Potter. Now I wouldnt go as far as to say it was magical, but it certainly hit the spot! A well rounded stout that would delight the pallet of many a weary traveller or couch potato.
