Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Back in April 2021, BrewYork celebrated its 5th Birthday as a brewery. In celebration of this, they made a grand total of 5 Imperial stouts. Each of these five beers has been assigned a chapter of the brewery’s 5-year history, and has been designed around the crew’s favourite post-modern slasher films!
So I thought, is there really a better series to cover on the lead-up to Halloween? I don’t think so!
Today we are looking at the 4th and most Nightmarish of the number, the Rock Road Icecream Pastry Stout.

- Name : The Dream Child
- Brewery: BrewYork X Tiny Rebel
- Aroma : Strong sweet scent of Malted Vanilla and Cacao
- Appearance : Very dark with a red tint, with a thin mocha head.
- Body : Medium to full bodied, well carbonated but poor head retention
- Taste : Boozy bitter kick of cacao followed by a velvety pillowy sweet vanilla marshmellow cream malt.
This one was exactly what it said on the tin, a strong punchy boozy rocky road icecream pastry stout. This one definitely was a dessert in a can, and the boozy 14% will soon be sending you off to meet Freddie in your stout coma nightmares!
Definitely, one to have on its own, whilst watching a scary movie on the lead-up to Halloween.
our overall rating: 4.3 / 5.0
