Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Back in April 2021, BrewYork celebrated its 5th Birthday as a brewery. In celebration of this, they made a grand total of 5 Imperial stouts. Each of these five beers has been assigned a chapter of the brewery’s 5-year history, and have been designed around the crew’s favourite post-modern slasher films!
So I thought, is there really a better series to cover on the lead-up to Halloween? I don’t think so!
To round off this Hurricane of Horror we have a Honeycomb, Coconut, Cacao, Tonka and Vanilla Imperial Milk Stout
- Name : The Final Chapter
- Brewery: BrewYork X Emperors Brewery
- Aroma : Strong notes of vanilla, burnt honeycomb and coconut.
- Appearance : Black with a Mocha head
- Body : Medium to heavy Bodied, medium carbonation with okay head retention.
- Taste : Punchy barley wine-esc punch quickly followed by a sweet honeycomb & vanilla kick and a mellow creamy chocolatiness to finish.
Unfortunatley this was our least favourite of the Halloween beers of this series, it was just far too sweet and the sweetness built as we drank. It also suffers from the same thing all really high percentage beers suffer from, it gives you that wine like film that covers your tongue and in all honesty, there was so much punch that its very difficult to drink a whole pint.
