Hello my fellow beer lovers
Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimist. Today, not only are we looking at what is fast becoming one of my top breweries, but also a beer in which we share a name! I am of course referring to The Hoptimist 2021 bt BrewYork.
Today’s review was brought to you by Sam.
- Name : The Hoptimist 2021
- Brewery: BrewYork
- Aroma : Strong tropical notes followed by hops and a hint of cut grass.
- Appearance : Cloudy mango colour with a tight white head.
- Body : Medium bodied with very poor head retention.
- Taste : A mouthful of dry mouth puckering hops, chased by a tropical sweetness.
This was a lovely little hoppy number, but a little too much on the dry side for my personal taste. Its Punch 9.1% was surprisingly mellowed by the tropical tones but you definitely wouldn’t want to drink to many of these, or else you might find yourself laying on the floor rather than enjoying your evening!
