Hi there fellow beer lovers,
We are continuing through on our 12 days of Christmas selection from Turning point Brew Co, this time we are staring down another barrel this time it’s of a bourbon-aged espresso martini stout.

Name: Gravediggers Biscuits, bourbon barreled aged espresso martini stout
Brewery: Turning Point Brew Co
Aroma: A strong shot of espresso with oaked, woody notes and a kick of bourbon
Appearance: Very Dark, with a thin gingerbread coloured head.
Body: Medium, well carbonated, silky smooth, no head retention
Taste: Full flavoured on-point espresso martini, with a strong boozy.
Another absolute belter of a dark beer, I think this one has a slight edge on the Ecstasy of Gold, but barely. Never has a beer hit the brief so well, if you gave me this in a martini glass, other than the fact it had a head I would never have considered this to be a beer. Now that is good and bad depending on how you look at it, but if you’ve bought this one because you like espresso martini’s (which let’s be honest it’s called a bourbon-aged espresso martini stout so why else would you pick it up?) you will not be disappointed and you will definitely want to take a bath in it, but at 9% I don’t recommend that!
Our overall rating: 4.3 / 5.0
