Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are continuing on our coverage of Turning Points twelve beers of Christmas with Peters’ view of their tropical fruit sour with a Pavlova-like finish.

- Name : Inner-city Sumo Pavlova Sour
- Brewery: Turning Point Brew Co in collaboration
with Pomona Island - Aroma : Citrusy, mainly orange, but with hints of
mango and musky guava - Appearance : Opaque, almost fluorescent pale
orange with a white head - Body : Medium body, lightly carbonated with poor
head retention - Taste : Sour but not mouth puckeringly so and
finishes with a slight sweetness. Predominant
flavour is orange but a subtle touch of guava
muskiness in the finish
I am not a great fan of the style, probably due to associating
sour taste with cask ale that has gone off. This was a pleasant
surprise, the can description pretty much nails it and the
sweetish finish nicely balances the sourness. Certainly, a
beer that I would drink again.
