Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Today we are continuing on our coverage of Turning Points twelve beers of Christmas with Peters’ view of their George of the Dunkel, Banana Dunkelweizen.

- Name: George of the Dunkel
- Brewery: Turning Point Brew Co X BrewDog Leeds North St
- Aroma: Fruitcake and banana sweets
- Appearance: Cloudy, chestnut brown coloured with
a cream coloured head - Body: Medium body, lightly carbonated with poor
head retention - Taste: Heavy and strong with a strong dryish
aftertaste. Slightly sweet with some banana flavour
but hops overpowered.
This was a style of beer that I really should have enjoyed but it didn’t quite work for me, probably more a case of not reaching my high expectation of it. The banana flavour came through but to me tasted more like the artificial flavour we all recognize in banana sweets. But it wasn’t a bad beer by any stretch, so why not try it for yourself?
