Hi there fellow beer lovers,
This is another tipple from a brewery and taphouse in the redeveloped Fruit Market district of Hull.
This one unlike the previous two is a dark ale, which I’ve been looking forward to giving a go for some time now! Finally, that time has come, so let’s get straight into it.

- Name : Mastiff -Dark Chocolate & Raspberry, Imperial Stout
- Brewery: Bone Machine Brew Co X Mastiff
- Aroma : Strong notes of chocolate, and a twist or sour fruit
- Appearance : Dark in colour with a dark coffee head.
- Body : Surprisingly thin bodied, a low level of carbonation, and no head retention.
- Taste : A long sweet chocolate draw quickly followed by a punch of fruity flavour, that dulls to a wine like tang.
Despite the lack of carbonation, this one was very nice, it was sweet but not to the point of being too sickly, it didn’t hold back on flavour, and had a proper kick to it. Which, you should expect given that the tipple is 10.5% abv. It slowly warmed you down to your bones more and more as you worked your way to the bottom of the can.
