Hi there fellow beer lovers,
This one was another beer Peter picked up for us on his travels around the shelves and isles of various supermarkets, I took this one though as its Orange, and I really like orange, so I wanted to see what it would be like paired with a traditional blonde.
- Name: Blood Orange, Oval Beach Blonde Ale
- Brewery: Saugatuck Brewing Co.
- Aroma : Very strong scent of fresh orange, with an undertone of hop & barley.
- Appearance : slightly hazy pale blonde, with a tight white head.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated with good head retention.
- Taste : slightly sour taste of under ripe orange and grapefruit that pulls into a bitter draw before budding into a malted hop finish.
This was very refreshing, it made my mouth water, and I was very upset that we only had one can of this one! I will be keeping my eyes peeled for another one of these when I am out and about.
