Brewdog – ALD IPA (4.7% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

This beer came about after a bit of fun on social media. It was noted that ALDI own label IPA can had a distinctly Brewdog feel to it and so after a bit of banter this beer was produced. It is cheekily described on the can as ‘own label session IPA’.

1. Name : ALD IPA
2. Brewery: Brewdog plc
3. Aroma : Fresh green hops with a touch of grapefruit in the mix
4. Appearance : Straw coloured, crystal clear with a white head
5. Body :  Medium bodied, medium carbonated but not great head retention
6. Taste : Light, fresh and hoppy without being too dry

At 4.7% it is perhaps a little bit weak to be a true IPA, but as a session beer it is perfect. A nice uncomplicated easy drinking pale ale that I could happily drink all night. To steal from another advertisement, it does what it says on the can.
