Down South Brewing Co – Beer is better double hopped (ABV 5.9%)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimist’s, today we are looking southward to Down South Brewing and trying one of their staple beers, Beer is better double hopped. But, do we agree?

1. Name: Bitter is better double hopped
2. Brewery: Down South Brewing Co
3. Aroma : Medicinal and sweet, almost Lucasade like
4. Appearance : Clear Copper colour with a tight thin white head
5. Body :  Thin, low carbonation and no head retention
6. Taste : Weak hop followed by a sweet medicinal flavour with a flowery finish.

This one was a little disappointing, with it being double hopped I was expecting a real zing, but what I actually got was more like a fizzle. I was intrigued by the unusual scent but, it failed to deliver anything special. It started off well but in the end just fell into a beer-y obscurity.
