Brewdog – Lost in Mango Lager (4.5% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

This beer is a twist on the flagship Lost Lager. The Lost range is billed as the world’s only carbon negative beer. It is brewed using surplus fresh bread, 1/3 less water and powered by Brewdog’s own wind turbines.

1. Name : Lost in Mango Lager
2. Brewery: Brewdog plc
3. Aroma : Fruity, hints of mango but also something slightly musky  
4. Appearance : Straw coloured with a white head
5. Body :  Thin as might be expected, well carbonated and good head retention for a lager
6. Taste : Crisp with some mango flavour but with something astringent overcoming the sweetness

A lager for the curious rather than the mainstream drinker. I was expecting a sweet beer heavy on mango flavour, but it delivered something entirely different. Reading the can the ingredients list quince, which was the sharp flavour cutting down the sweetness and changing the taste considerably.
