Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists. Today we are checking out a Robust porter from Burning Sky. As you all know we are pretty big stout and porter lovers here at T|E|H, so I am looking forward to trying this one.
- Name: Robust Porter
- Brewery: Burning Sky, Artisan brewers & Blender
- Aroma : Strong scent of dark berries & Chocolate
- Appearance : very Dark, slightly off white medium head.
- Body : Surprisingly easy drinking for a stout, not claggy, medium bodied, well carbonated, good head retention.
- Taste : Bitter dark chocolate with a sweeping malt and dark berries.
A little thin for my taste, but it made for a very refreshing and cooling experience, it had the flavour but not a lot of oomph. Despite the 5.8% I could quite easily have had a few more of these, and for the price of £2.50 you cant really complain too much!
