Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to the Enternal Hoptimists! Now our regular readers will know that we are not big lager drinkers, but I was lucky enough to try this one when I was out and about, and as it was not your typical lager I picked one up for John to have a try.
- Name: Straus
- Brewery: Wishbone Brewery
- Aroma : fairly strong hop and malty notes.
- Appearance : Dark amber in colour, with a good tight head.
- Body : medium bodied, well carbonated with good head retention
- Taste : Strong German hop background, with a striking malt that trickles through giving you a full mouthful of flavour.
Really shocked by this one, never had a Vienna Lager before, definitely one for the Beer boys and not the Lager Lads. Packs quite the kick, but I would definitely go to the bar for another one.
