Loch Ness Brewery- Dark Ness (4.4% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the Enternal Hoptimists! Today, we are looking at one of the Scottish beers we brought back from our last visit Northward in March.

1. Name: Dark Ness
2. Brewery: Loch Ness Brewery
3. Aroma :  Espresso and dark chocolate with a smidge of barley.
4. Appearance :  Dark in appearance with a mushroom grey coloured head.
5. Body :  Medium bodied, well carbonated, good head retention.
6. Taste :  Deep roasted coffee and dark chocolate which fills and coats the mouth leading to a bitter finish.

This could quite easily be a session ale, the percentages are right and the taste although decadent is very moreish. A cracking little find from the Tesco’s in Dunfirmiline, we will definitely keep our eyes open for this one again.
