Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to the eternal Hoptimists.
Today we are trying something a little spicy. This was sent to me as part of the Friends of Brewdog package, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this cheeky Collab has to offer.

- Name: Cold Alliance (Except its Hot)
- Brewery: Ice Breaker Brewing Co X Brewdog
- Aroma : Hops, Feint scent of Chilli, and pine
- Appearance : Golden in colour, slightly hazed, with a thin white film.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated, with poor retention.
- Taste : Piney Hops, slightly spiced that builds, its a grower not a shower.
At the first sip, I thought this one was a bit meh, a run of the mill IPA with a gimmick that missed the mark. But, by the third mouthful I was thinking… oh something is happening here, this one builds, now its not so hot that you will be breathing fire, but it builds to a pleasant heat and is definitely a novel brew. I wouldn’t be drinking this on a semi-regular basis but as a one off with a curry, or a chilli con carne or the likes, it would be a fantastic pairing.
