Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to the eternal Hoptimists.
Now I have had a few beers for Verdant in the past, and they have been very hit and miss. This however, I think is the first one I’ve actually reviewed, and its a new on to me, so lets see what this one is all about!

- Name: Dont Tell Gus
- Brewery: Verdant Brewing Co.
- Aroma : immediate Orange and Lemon citrus notes, with a slightly pineapple tropical twist.
- Appearance : Pours a hazy Yellow, with a medium white head.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated, with great head retention.
- Taste : Tropical explosion of flavour that starts of sweet and then sours slightly giving it a zesty finish.
Considering the hop combination in this one (Hops are Citra, Mosaic and Enigma) I was a little disappointed. Overall it was nothing special, but it was a very well crafted DIPA. One for those who like a beer that’s fruity and fresh, would be cracking at a BBQ but at 8% I hope you are not the one doing the cooking!
Our overall rating: 3.4/ 5.0
