This beer collaboration was brewed to celebrate a partnership across the globe to launch Gweilo in the UK. A pale ale at a respectable strength and some impressive label artwork (by @szabotage.me) on the can.
- Name : East & West Pale Ale
- Brewery: Brewed for Gweilo International Limited by Vocation Brewery, Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire
- Hops : Galaxy and Vic’s Secret
- Grain : Barley and wheat
- Aroma : Soft and light hints of tropical fruits
- Appearance : Bright yellow straw, quite hazy and a creamy white head
- Body : Full bodied, medium carbonated with fair head retention
- Taste : Tropical fruits, a soft pineapple (but not sweet) and little guava muskiness. Slight bitterness to the finish but soft and floral overall
An excellent pale ale, full of flavour but without hops overpowering and taking over. An easy drinking beer but at a true IPA strength, one I would happily drink again.
