This is a beer brewed in collaboration with Sheffield FC ‘The World’s First Football Club’ to celebrate its birthday.

Brewed to be ‘…a fantastic accompaniment to any Sheffield FC Match.’

  1. Name : 1857 Pale Ale
  2. Brewery: Thornbridge, Bakewell, Derbyshire
  3. Hops : Not specified
  4. Grain :  Malted barley and wheat
  5. Aroma : A light fruity aroma
  6. Appearance : Pale gold in colour, clear, produced a brief white head
  7. Body :  Medium bodied, medium carbonation but head retention was poor
  8. Taste : Slightly floral, hints of grapefruit and a bitter finish

A nice easy drinking pale ale. A beer brewed to have mass market appeal to fans of the football club, rather than the seasoned beer aficionado, which it succeeds at.
