Saltaire X Brewdog- Crimson Rye (5.5% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.

Today John is looking at another beer that was sent to us as part of the friends of Brewdog selection, the Crimson Rye.

1. Name: Crimson Rye
2. Brewery: Saltaire X Brewdog
3. Aroma :  very malty, with an undertone of sour fruits
4. Appearance :  Auburn in colour, with a slightly off white medium head
5. Body :  medium bodied, well carbonated, good head retention
6. Taste :  Very Earthy and malty to start which morphs into a sweet and sour citrus

This is a British take on an American red, all together not unpleasant. The sweet /sour/ bitter combo made for an interesting pallet. Certainly a more unique beer than most.
