Today John is taking a look at the darker side of beer for a change!
- Name: Let the Eat Cake
- Brewery: Third Barrel Brewery
- Aroma : Dark Chocolate and toasted coconut aroma.
- Appearance : Lovely Dark beer with a Mushroom coloured Head.
- Body : Thin bodied, low carbonated, poor head retention.
- Taste : Sweet chocolate, followed by a toasted coconut and a slight hint of coffee.
A bit on the sweet side for me but by no means is this a terrible stout, and its definitely affordable unlike some that I have been gifted recently (but they are bloody lovely) I think this hasn’t travelled well given the carbonation, I would like to see what this is like on draft. I will keep my eyes open for some more Third Barrel in the future and report back to you!
