It always amazes me that some people don’t like Bounty bars and even go so far to tweet this hatred at Christmas when they open their boxes of Mars Celebrations. This imperial stout promises to be something like a Bounty bar in a can albeit at a stonking 12%.
The can art is excellent and I’m not sure if the name is a nod to the coconut confectionery but as Del Boy would say Chapeau.

- Name : Intergalactic Bounty Hunter
- Brewery: Demoersleutel, Alkmaar, The Netherlands
- Hops : Not specified
- Grain : Malted barley
- Aroma : Hints of coconut, with a slightly sweet lactose aroma like a milky coffee, quite inviting
- Appearance : Black, with no discernible head
- Body : Full bodied, low carbonation no head retention
- Taste : Deep, dark, intense and strong. Chocolate, coffee and a touch of coconut, more sweet than bitter
An amazingly well-balanced beer, simply superb. This is a beer to take care with, it’s very moreish but extremely potent. Not sure about the intergalactic bit but I think a couple of these would leave you feeling that you had run into Clint Eastwood in For a Few Dollars More!
Our overall rating: 4.1/ 5.0
