Eyam Brewery – Bubonic Orange (6.0% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.

Eyam AKA the Plague Village, have a brewery that doesn’t like to take itself too seriously. It has a number of tipples across a number of styles all of which have embraced the villages heritage as they definitely follow the same naming theme!

All of the beverages in bottle are bottled conditioned, but they do supply casks to a number of local pubs in the surrounding area.

  1. Name: Bubonic Orange
  2. Brewery: Eyam Brewery
  3. Aroma :  Hints of sweet Orange, Dark Chocolate and Tar.
  4. Appearance : Very Dark, with a medium cappuccino coloured head.
  5. Body :  Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel, decent carbonation and good head retention
  6. Taste :  A warming spiced orange, with a hint of dark chocolate, it’s the kind of beer that sticks to your ribs.

Definitely an Autumn / Winter warmer this one, really reminds me of a Christmas beer, so not at all off brand for a spooky plague-like nightmare before Christmas!

Our Jack ‘O Rating for this one is: 3.5/ 5.0
