Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.
We’re back again trawling the depths for beasties, and we have happened across this double gatekeeper by Buxton, it promises to be dark, stormy and a little dangerous… well… what are we waiting for?

- Name: Double Gatekeeper
- Brewery: Buxton Brewery
- Aroma : Hints of tar, Barley and a hint of coffee
- Appearance : Dark, with a thin mocha head when first poured
- Body : full bodied, medium carbonated, good head retention, warming and smooth
- Taste : A strong taste of barley wine with a kick of coffee and a hint of chocolate, a little harsh but nothing another swig won’t fix.
This one is definitely a winter warmer, when I opened the can I knew this one was going to be a ‘hangover beer’ too many of these could lead to some severe consequences, but my god its good. Despite the journey proving perilous I would definitely have another one of these and let the kraken carry me to the depths.
Our Jack ‘O Rating for this one is: 4.1/5.0
