Beavertown – Bloody ‘Ell (5.5% ABV)

Hi there fellow beer lovers,

Welcome back to the eternal Hoptimists.

We are continuing our Spooky week with a refreshing pint of BLOOD orange IPA.. OooooOOOoooo….

  1. Name: Bloody ‘Ell
  2. Brewery: Beavertown
  3. Hops: Not Specified
  4. Aroma:  Strong nose of citrus with a hint of orange and the mild sweetness of hop
  5. Appearance: Crystal clear straw yellow with an open white head
  6. Body:  Medium bodied, well carbonated with moderate head retention.
  7. Taste: Mellow wash of orange quickly followed by a punch of citrus which then mellows into a malty twist.

This is a little too weak on the orange for me as it’s supposed to be a blood orange IPA, but it is a very enjoyable citrus charged IPA with a very refreshing and crisp edge.

Our overall Jack O Rating is: 3.4/ 5.0
