John is checking out another beer by one of his favourite breweries, Northern Monk, this one is one of their Patron Project beers.
- Name: Sarah Harris / The Culinary Adventures
- Brewery: Northern Monk
- Aroma: Faint tar aroma with a hint of vanilla & Lactose
- Appearance: Very dark, good clarity, with a mushroom coloured head when poured
- Body: Medium bodied, good carbonation, decent head retention with a smooth mouth feel.
- Taste: A bucket loads of Lactose rich oatmeal with a hint of spice, very warming, and very pleasant indeed.

This one was bloody lovely, plain and simple. a Smooth Porter, it is really mellow and it has a bit of something for everyone.
