Hi there fellow beer lovers,
Welcome Back to the Eternal Hoptimists. Today we are taking a closer look at another another beer from our Beer52 experiment.
Regular readers may recall back in March we decided to try a short-dated case offered by Beer 52 through Money Savings Expert. We were so happy with the quality and value for money we decided to try another. This beer is the first one from that second box.
This one is an American style Pale Ale (APA) and promises to be ‘a refreshing thirst quencher that will bring the Cali beachfront to you, wherever you are.’

- Name : Snappy APA
- Brewery: Brewed for Bad News Beer Company by The Bird D.O.O., Zagreb Croatia
- Hops : Centennial, Mosaic and Simcoe
- Grain : Malted barley
- Aroma : Light aromas of pineapple and grapefruit
- Appearance : Light gold, rather hazy and a rather effervescent pour produced a white head
- Body : Full bodied, medium carbonated with a good head retention
- Taste : Initially a sweet hit but then hops and tropical fruits take over. The finish is bitter but with hints of lemon
A complex tasting pale ale which is surprisingly good considering the time elapsed since it was canned. Not quite the Venice Beach promised but definitely better than a trip to Withernsea Beach!
Our overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
