John is taking a break from the sours to try something a little different! Will he be saying open sesame or is this one a miso.
- Name: OFS064 Hong Kong
- Brewery: Northern Monk X Heroes Beer Co.
- Hops: Citra, Incognito, Cascade, Cashmere, mosaic & Columbus
- Aroma: Strong scent of Miso, Sesame and Malt.
- Appearance: Black but with brilliant clarity, and an open white frothy head
- Body: Medium bodied, well carbonated, with good head retention.
- Taste: Strong malt, with a cutting sweetness of miso running through it, not overly hoppy considering the number in it.
How do the brewers come up with this formulae? It says it is based on Hong Kong cuisine of sweet and sour flavours. This is a malt beer with a sweetness running through and a hint of bitterness towards the end. I love this beer, and the can it rode in on, and at 5.9% Its a healthy volume, can I have some more please?!..
