Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimist’s,
We’re back with the T|E|H Advent calendar for 2022 and continuing our look at Turning points 12 beers of Christmas. As we have quite a lot to get through this month, we have recruited John’s friend Jean to help us out with this one. Jean works within the NHS, so you know she deserves a drink!
But what will she make of Turning Points Pilsner, Nova?

- Name: Nova
- Brewery: Turning Point Brew Co
- Hops: Saaz & Tettnang
- Aroma: A Little hop, but not too strong a scent.
- Appearance: A wonderfully clear, golden lager with a slight head.
- Body: Light bodied, well carbonated with ok head retention.
- Taste: Quite floral upfront before morphs into a sharp thirst-quenching juicy finish.
This was certainly an easy drinker and refreshing too. Also, at 4.6% ABV I could happily have another. It’s not a brewery I’m familiar with, but one I will look out for in the future.
Our overall rating: 4.6 / 5.0
