T|E|H Christmas Advent 2022 #13 – Fairytale of Brew York 2022, Stollen Milk Stout (4.9% ABV)

Sam is back for more today, he tried this on tap at the Brew York tap room at the end of November, and threatened John, Peter and Mark on pain of death that this one was one for him to review! But will the can live up to the hype of the draught?


  1. Name : Fairytale of Brew York 2022
  2. Brewery: Brew York
  3. Hops : N/A
  4. Grain: Pale Crystal 150, pale crystal 400, flaked barley, malted oats, Carata III, & Cocolate.
  5. Aroma :  Strong scent of Christmas spices, malts and a cheeky sweetness.
  6. Appearance :  Very dark with a burnt cola head when poured.
  7. Body :  Medium bodied, well carbonated but poor head retention.
  8. Taste :  A stollen christmas mouthful that sticks to your ribs and the spices come through and warm your gullet.

Wow, this is a stonker of a beer. it delivers exactly what it promises, the nose alone tell you that your in for a treat! Even the wife looked up from a her book when i cracked this one open and that sweet stollen smell filled the air. Honestly one of the best canned beers to draughts I’ve had this year. I’m glad I’ve got another one of these because at 4.9% its one I can afford to follow with a second!
