Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimist’s,
Sam has a giant wooden eagle kite in his house from Singapore, so we thought a beer called Big Eagle would be right up his street. Let’s see what he thought!

- Name : Big Eagle
- Brewery: Brew York
- Hops : CTZ (T90 & Cyro) Centennial, Ekuanot, & Simcoe
- Grain : Pale, Crystal 150, Dextrin, Torrfied Wheat, Acidulated Malt
- Aroma : A strong Hoppy nose with a slight twist of light citrus.
- Appearance : Light golden colour with a tight white head.
- Body : Medium bodied, well carbonated with good head retention
- Taste : Strong bitter mouthful of hops, well balances, and has the slightest hint of citrus toward the end.
This one is definitely on the hoppy side of the spectrum, there is a slight fruitiness but not a lot, I can see why it won a lot of awards before its 3 year hiatus back in 2020, its a very solid tipple and I would definitely have this again. One to be wary of though because at 6.4% it will definitely creep up on you.
Our Joint rating on this one is: 3.7/ 5.0
