Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimist’s,
The game Red Light, Green Light has become a global sensation following its popular debut in the South Korean drama Squid Game. The aim of the game is simple! Upon hearing “green light” from the caller, players need to move across an enclosed field and reach the other side within a 5-minute time limit. during this time period the caller can also shout “red light”, and turn to face the players, should the player be moving when the caller turns they are out (or shot dead in the movie).
Michaela, being a lover of the show that made this game popular, and also sours got to take this one for a whirl but will it make the finish line, or will it be eliminated on a red light?

- Name : Red Light, Green Light
- Brewery: Brew York (York, England)
- Hops : N/A
- Aroma : Strong scent of sour fruits and a slight spice
- Appearance : Muddy hazy apple juice, but no head.
- Body : Light body, extremely soft carbonation and no head..
- Taste : Strong sour kick from the kiwi that makes your mouth water, but the overall fruitiness is subtle, its more a kin to a citrus drink than a punch sour. However I feel I utilizes the vanilla and malts well as it finishes with a mellow vanilla/malt finish which resets your pallet for another mouthful.
It had a lot of promise, but this one just was not for me, It lacked the juicy fruitiness I craved, but it did deliver on a good sour flavour. I do wonder if this would be better on draught as the can was very cold, maybe that had something to do with the flatness? If I see it on tap I would be tempted to give it another go just to see.
Our Joint rating on this one is: 2.5/ 5.0
