With Christmas just around the corner, John is feeling a little sour, so we have had him check out door no 21 to see what he made of this seasonal pastry sour from Brew York.
- Name : Dreams of Brew York 2022
- Brewery: Brew York, York
- Hops : N/A
- Grain : Pale, Oat Malt, Wheat Malt, Flaked Oats, Dextrin
- Aroma : strong mixed fruits with redcurrant and apple at the forefront giving way to a little cinnamon at the back.
- Appearance : Cranberry red in colour with a frothy slightly pink head.
- Body : Medium bodied well carbonated but poor head retention.
- Taste : Quite an acidic punch of mixed berries, and apples which twists into a sourness before morphing into a cinnamon spiciness , giving it a mulled cider type feel.
- Dietary restrictions : Vegiterian Friendly; wheat, oats , lactose
This one was an interesting twist on a seasonal sour. It was certainly mouth watering and at 6.5% is very nice, definitely one for the mulled cider lover.
