Check out these beauties!

There are so many we have had to format them onto separate pages!, First up is Peter with Insatiable Circumstances, lets see what he thought!
If you are a regular reader of the blog, you will already know that I’m a big fan of porters in all their forms. I’m as happy with a traditional style one as one of the modern flavoured ones.
According to this can “you can’t get much more insatiable than the sultry flavours of coffee, caramel and cream combined with each other to send your tastebuds into circumstantial overload.” A bold claim indeed.

- Name : Insatiable Circumstances
- Brewery: Wilde Child, Leeds
- Hops : Not specified
- Grain : Malted barley and oats
- Aroma : Sweet, malty and caramel with hints of coffee
- Appearance : Very dark brown with a cream coloured head
- Body : Medium bodied, medium carbonation with a little head retention
- Taste : A strong caramel sweetness more than coffee. Has a smooth creamy mouthfeel
Has the all the characteristics you would expect in a porter, but a little on the sweet side for my palate, with the caramel edging out the coffee dryness. One I would drink again but one can would be enough for me. I will keep an eye open for this one on draught because in cask form and pulled through a beer engine it would probably appeal more to an old boy like me.
Peters overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
