Welcome back to the eternal Hoptimists.
We are continuing our 2 week adventure into AF and low ABV beers. Today Sam is checking our two beers from Drop Bear Beer Co. A AF company that seems to be growing popular in the UK of late.

- Name: Yuzu Pale
- Brewery: Drop Bear Beer Co
- Hops : Not Specified
- Aroma : Smells slightly tart, with a biscuity undertone.
- Appearance : Crystal Clear but golden colour with a white film head when poured
- Body : Thin to medium bodied, well carbonated with no head retention.
- Taste : Immediate hop hit, followed by a mellow Malt which leaves a biscuit finish that lingers in the mouth.
This one was very middle of the road, a little thin, but it got better as you drank it. This is what I originally thought of when I first was handed a AF beer, its not great, its not terrible, and it needs a bit more something to be good.
Our overall rating: 2.9/ 5.0

- Name: New World Lager
- Brewery: Drop Bear Beer Co
- Hops : Mouteka, Rakaku, Wai-titi
- Aroma : A mixture of hop and citrus
- Appearance : Clear washed out buttercup yellow with no head.
- Body : Thin bodied, and well carbonated
- Taste : General fruity lager, with a slight smidge of that familiar biscuit taste.
This one is ever so slightly better than the Yuzu, which I know is a shock as I am reviewing a lager, and I am Sam the lager hating man.
Its crisp, refreshing and not a bad alternative to your standard lager.
Our overall rating: 3.0/ 5.0
