Williams Bro’s Brewing Co – Hercule Berge, Belgian DIPA (7.4% ABV)

Welcome back to the Eternal Hoptimists.

Recently there’s been a string of beer murders, but what our murderer didn’t expect is that the one and only curly mustachio’ d detective Hercule Berge was vacationing at the back of the beer cupboard.

Hercule has vowed to find the perpetrators of these murders most foul, with his trusty grey cells and his new assistant Sam, but can he solve the crime before he realizes it might have been an inside job?..

  1. Name: Hercule Berge
  2. Brewery: Williams Bro’s Brewing Co
  3. Hops: N/A
  4. Grain: Barley, Wheat
  5. Aroma :  Hoppy with a hint of Orange and citrus.
  6. Appearance :  Clear golden ale with a frothy head when pored.
  7. Body :  Medium bodied, well carbonated with good head retention.
  8. Taste: Spiced fruits, with an overarching citrus, with a little dry bitterness to finish.

First off, he didn’t see it coming, the great detective was bested by the three taps and crack method, so the beer murders will have to continue..

As for the beer, it had a really nice bite too it. It was well balanced, I really liked the orange citrus twist, and it has a brilliant name, what more would you want?

As the case has not been closed, it may become a cold one, and i’l take a cold case of this anytime!

Our overall rating: 3.8/ 5.0
